Classroom Rules

 

1.       No personal software.

2.       Be on time.

3.       Show courtesy at all times.

4.       Keep your work area clean.

5.       Remain seated until bell rings.

6.       Saving mediums (cd's, flash drives, etc) should not leave the classroom..

7.       You are responsible for missed work.

8.       No food, drinks, gum, candy, etc.

9.       No use of Internet without permission.

10.    No computer games.

Important Note: No keyed assigments are to be done at home. All keyed worked is done in the classroom.

Section 1 Schedule of Classes

Classes:  Semester 1:  Administrative Management Systems (AMS)--2 hrs. periods--2 credit hours for entire year; 1/2 credit- Document Formatting, 1/2 credit Document Design

 

Classes:  Semester 2: AMS Periods Periods 1 and 2; Document Formatting--1/2 credit

 

AMS: first nine weeks: types of offices; American Disabilities Act; Policy Manual Project; work competencies

Document Formatting:  why people work; basic computer terms; intro to various software applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access)

DocLayout and Design:

agendas, itineraries, minutes, travel for business, tables, presentation materials, designing of announcements, and brochures; Business Travel Project: creating and designing a travel manual for the business traveler

 

Keyboarding

Database Management:

will be offered during the 2010-2011 school year; semester class

Section 3 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

 
Dues for FBLA are $9. Any student who has had a business or computer class or who has taken a business or computer class this year, may join. Students taking Economics may also join the club. This is an A club.

Classes are computer based and assignments must be done at school!

Eating, drinking, and chewing gum in class are not permitted! Referrals will be written on the second offense.
