Dear Parents:

Welcome! Welcome to another school year. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Sheila Moss, Family Consumer Science teacher. I am a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. Presently, my endorsements are in Vocational Home Economics grades 7 – 12, General Science grades 7-12 ,and Elementary grades 1-8. I am very excited about my assignment this year at Collierville High School.

I am sure your child will have a positive and exciting educational experience in this class. I will be teaching life skills in different Family and Consumer Science areas that will have a long lasting impact on his/her life. Learning life skills for future tasks enables each student to effectively prepare to achieve a rewarding future in the different roles life will bring. The varied Family and Consumer Science courses will also help prepare students for family life, work life and careers in family and consumer sciences by providing opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed.

Below, you will find my grading policy and a list of the supplies that will be used in this class. I encourage parent-teacher communication. Please contact me if any questions or concerns arise. I am excited and looking forward to being your child’s teacher this year.

100% Classwork (including all other assignments)
