Class Procedures and Policies

 

SUPPLIES:

*3-ring binder

*loose leaf paper

*tab dividers

*pencils

*calculator

TESTS:

*A Unit Test will be given for each unit.

*Make-up tests will be given in the case of excused absences on a scheduled day determined by the student and Mrs. Lacy. Failure to show up for the make-up test will result in a zero on the test.

* Students missing a test because of an unexcused absence will be given a zero.

HOMEWORK:

* Homework will be checked frequently for completion. Homework will only be accepted late for students with an excused absence.

* A homework grade will be given at the end of each nine weeks.

* Some homework assignments are graded for correctness.

* Questions about homework are answered at the beginning of every class.

* Students get one free homework every nine weeks.

QUIZZES:

* Quizzes are given almost daily.

* Students who miss a daily quiz do not have to make it up unless told otherwise.

NOTEBOOK CHECK:

* Students must maintain a 3-ring binder filled with loose-leaf paper divide into the following sections: bellwork, class notes, homework, graded papers and End-of-Course Test practice.

* Notebooks will be collected at the end of each nine weeks for a grade.

EXTRA CREDIT:

* Extra credit quizzes are given on a regular basis each nine weeks for bonus points.

*Students can earn an extra point on their average by completing every checked homework assignment.
