II. Be prepared. 1. Come to class with all supplies (blue or black pen, #2 pencils, graph paper, 3 ring binder, textbook, highlighter, colored pencils). 2. Take care of personal grooming/restroom visits before class. 3. Be aware of all school rules and regulations. 4. Do not bring food or drinks into the classroom (or lab). Please, NO GUM. 5. Turn in homework when due. Late homework will not be accepted. There are no test exemptions due to absences. If present when a test/quiz is given, you must take the test or quiz. Whether a "Retest" will be allowed or not will depend upon the individual circumstances of the absence. Note: A "Retake" will not be allowed if
6. Ask about missed work the day you return. Check with a partner for missed notes, etc. 7. All work/ tests/assignments submitted must be labeled in the upper right hand corner with your name, date, and class period. Illegible work will not be accepted. Spelling and punctuation count! Use complete sentences, restating the question within your answer. 8. Papers will be passed up from the back of the row to the front.
III. Be polite. 1. When responding to questions orally, raise your hand, wait to be called upon, then speak clearly and loud enough that all can hear. While others are speaking be quiet and attentive. If you disagree with another student's response raise your hand, wait to be called upon, then state your response in a way that will not embarrass or demean the other student. 2. Stay in your seat at all times unless you have permission from the teacher to get up. Keep walls and furniture clean and free from extra pencil/pen marks. 3. Do not close your book until you have either completed all work or you have been dismissed. 4. When preparing to leave class, pick up all paper/trash around your desk and place it in the trash can as you exit the room. Wait to be dismissed by the teacher. Do not jump and run. 5. You are expected to conduct yourself according to school policy at all times. Cheating results in "zero" for that assignment and a call to parents. Be honest and do your own best work. 6. Maintain a positive attitude!
