Classroom Rules and Procedures

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS CLASS!

Attendance - come to class - on unit test day if all are present - EXTRA CREDIT on the test.

Make Up Work - Make up day is Wed. after school. You may also make up the quiz/test Wed. morning with Mrs. Martin in room 151 or 258 at 6:30AM. You must let me know if you are going to make up work with Mrs. Martin so I can leave the quiz or test with her.

NOTE: If a quiz/test is given on a Monday or Tuesday and you are absent then you should be here after school on the Wednesday of that same week to make up the quiz/test. If a quiz/test is given on a Thursday or Friday and you are absent, you will take the quiz/test the following Wednesday. Finally, if you are unable to make up a quiz or test after school on Wednesday, you may come in early on Wednesday morning to make it up in another teacher’s classroom; I just need to know so I can leave the quiz/test with that teacher.
** In order to make up any work you missed, your absence must be excused. I do not allow you to turn in any homework late if you were present the day it was assigned. Other assignments that are late, like essays and projects, will lose significant points. This will be discussed more as the those assignments are made.

You may find out what you missed by checking this web page or CALL a friend before you return.

GRADING SYSTEM
Grades are determined on a points system. Each assignment is weighed based on the level of difficulty and time involved. Total points earned divided by the total points possible = grade.
(EX: 40/50 = 80%) In other words, divide the points you earn by the points possible on the assignment and BOOM it is easy math. You now have your score on the 100% scale.

Grade Scale - A(93-100) B(85-92) C(76-84) D(70-75) F(69 and below)
