-Brinker makes insinuations about the accident and Gene plays is off again.
-Finny is not pleased that the guys might enlist, especially Gene.
-Finny tells the guys his theory of the war - fat old men . . .
-Finny is the only one who understands the war because he has suffered - - - Finny is BITTER!
-Finny trains Gene for the 1944 Olympics
CH. 9
-Leper is convinces to join because of a ski troop video
-Finny draws Gene into his ideas about the war
-Finny organizes the Winter Carnival
-Telegram from Leper interrupts the carnival
CH. 10
-Gene goes to Vermont to see Leper
-Leper accuses Gene of causing the accident and reveals his purposes for leaving the service.
-Gene can not hear anymore and runs away because it is messing up Gene’s “SEPARATE PEACE”
CH.11
-Gene comes back to school
-snowball fight
-Brinker confronts Gene about Finny’s accident and that Gene is showing Finny too pity.
-Mock trail at the First Academy Building
-Leper is the star witness
-Finny can’t hear the truth and rushes out of the room
-Finny falls down the marble stairs

-People rush to help Finny but Gene stands back
-Gene tries to visit Finny at the hospital
-Finny is angry and falls out of the bed when he asks if Gene has come to break something else!
-Gene goes to the stadium
- Gene goes back to the hospital and talks to Finny
