Grading with a Point System
At the end of each nine-week period, students will receive a grade based on an accumulation of points. Each student's average will be determined by dividing the total number of points the student earned into the total number of possible points available during the nine weeks.
Late Work Policy
Work that is not turned in on time may be turned in one day late and ten points will be deducted. If students forget their homework (in their locker, wrong notebook, etc..) and plan on turning it in later in the day, it is also considered late and ten points will be deducted. If it is more than one day late, it will not be accepted.
Make-Up Work & Tests
Make-up work will follow Shelby County policy (a day for a day). Example: if absent Monday and Tuesday of this week, make-up work should be turned in at the beginning of the class on Friday. Two days absent, two days to work. If you are absent, you must check my web site to get make-up work. Tests will be made up on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons. If you cannot make-up your test at this time, you must schedule (with me) to make up your test either Wednesday morming at 6:30 in room 151 with Mrs. Judy Martin or at Wednesday afternoon at 2:15 in room 151 with Mrs. Judy Martin. Again arrangements must be made prior to this with Mrs. Ervin.
