Classroom Rules

 

1.       No personal software.

2.       Be on time.

3.       Show courtesy at all times.

4.       Keep your work area clean.

5.       Remain seated until bell rings.

6.       Saving mediums (cd's, flash drives, etc) should not leave the classroom..

7.       You are responsible for missed work.

8.       No food, drinks, gum, candy, etc.

9.       No use of Internet without permission.

10.    No computer games.

Speed Drill Grading Chart/Keyboarding Class Only

Speed Drills every week--need one passing speed drill per week for participation grade; no Backspace, 5 errors or less; GWAM no less than 30.

Participation grade is a 100.

Second nine weeks grading chart for keyboarding speed drills (Grading Chart: A 45+ words A; 40-44 words B; 35-39 words C; 30-34 words D); will take two or three of the best speed drills for grades at the end of the semester--use grading chart.

Students are to make-up missing work within two weeks. Failure to complete missing work will result in a grade of 0!

Important Note: No keyed assigments are to be done at home. All keyed worked is done in the classroom.

Section 1 Schedule of Classes

Classes:  Semester 1:  Administrative Management Systems (AMS)--2 hrs. periods 1/2; Document Formatting, Periods 3, 5, and 7. Planning period: 6th period. Cafeteria Duty: 4b, teacher lunch 4a

2nd semester: AMS Periods 1/2; Document Layout/Design Period 3, teacher lunch 4a; cafeteria duty 4b; Keyboarding Periods 5, 7; Planning Period 6.

 

Section 2 Special Projects/Competencies

Interims are due from each student mid-term of every nine weeks grading period. This activity is a homework grade for all my classes!

AMS:Job Shadowing Activity--Feb. 22--students must be passing all classes two weeks prior to activity (failed first semester classes can also impact participation in the job activity; The Mail System will be covered during the first part of the 9 weeks

Document Form: 

Introduction to class rules; FBLA club, tech fees, keying techniques, why people work; supply and demand; types of businesses; working on keying skills; rules for keying periods

Dues for FBLA are $9. Any student who has had a business or computer class or who has a business or computer class this year, may join. This is an A club.

Make up days:  Tuesday afternoons (2:05-3;00) and Wednesday/Thursday mornings (6:35-6:55) Students must sign up for make up time
