Grading for the classroom will consist of various activities from homework,
class work, group work and tests. They will be individual activities as well
as group
activities. Each assignment
will be given special consideration for point value depending on the length
of the assignment and the difficulty of the assignment. Students
should come to the classroom everyday prepared to work. Students will be
required
to take notes from the overhead.
Assignments
that are turned in late are subject to points being taken off or not accepted.
This will be at the discretion of the teacher depending on the circumstances. Students
who fail the chapter test will be allowed to retake the test
to improve their score on their own time. Their test score will be an average
of the two scores.
Students should be aware of the class rules and school rules at all time. Misbehavior
of any kind will not be tolerated. Students will alternate between the classroom and
gym every three weeks.
NO STUDENT HAS THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY STUDENT THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN
BY MISBEHAVING.
1. What will I need for the classroom? EVERYDAY
a. textbook
b. paper ( you will be required to keep a notebook with pockets for all finished
assignments)
c. pen or pencil (your preference)
2. Can I share a book with another student?
Absolutely not!!! You are responsible for your own book.
BRING IT!!!
3. What if I don’t finish my work in class?
At the teacher’s discretion if you need some extra time at home to finish,
it can be arranged. Students not on task do not get extra time.
CLASS RULES:
1. Follow directions promptly each time they are given.
2. Be in your seat when the tardy bell rings and do not get up without permission.
3. Do not speak out or make noises of any kind.
4. Bring all needed class materials to class everyday.
5. Keep your hands, feet, and all objects to yourself at all times.
6. No candy, drinks, or food of any kind are allowed to be eaten in the classroom.
7. All restroom duties should be taken care of before or after class.
8. Conduct yourself in a manner that will give every student a chance to
learn.
