Extracurricular outings

Throughout the year, students will be required to attend one or more "outings" from a variety of offerings. Students will choose and sign up well in advance. In the past we have hiked Baker's Pond and Herb Parson's, and canoed the Ghost River section of the Wolf River and the Wolf River through Shelby Farms. The outings were in conjunction with planned activities of the Wolf River Conservancy, which gives us access to trained guides with expertise in local history, flora and fauna, habitat analysis, and current issues affecting our area.

Activities in conjunction with Wolf River Conservancy require membership in WRC for insurance purposes. Because of this WRC has created a new membership category, that of High School Students, at a rate reduction from $35.00 to $15.00. Thank you WRC.

Miscellaneous hikes, outside of WRC activities, will also be planned.
